Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney
My book club in San Diego read this and said it was amazing (apparently I was too busy that month to participate). The beginning of the book was pretty slow in my opinion. I was starting to think that maybe my book club and I had different tastes aka theirs is bad and mine is amazing. But I stuck it out and continued reading (partly because I was quarantined with no job and had nothing better to do but that’s besides the point).
I am sooo glad I stuck through it though! Let me tell you this book is pretty darn good. There were plenty of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Usually I’m the type of reader that is trying to guess what’s coming next but with this book unexpectedly became so complex and intricate that I couldn’t! Brilliant writing and plot. I highly recommend this book and think it would be a great book to bring into your book club as there is PLENTY to talk about.
