Gone Without A Trace by Mary Torjussen

I read Gone Without A Trace a few years ago and absolutely loved it. This novel is impressively suspenseful, which I love. The main character in Gone Without A Trace is Hannah. As Hannah comes home from work on an ordinary weekday, she comes home to find her boyfriend Matt is gone. And not only is he gone – so are all of his belongings. To make things creepier, all of Hannah’s items are back in their original place as they were before Matt moved in, as if he and his things were never there at all.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Why can’t she just call him? Well, his phone number has been disconnected. Social media profiles? All deleted. As Hannah desperately searches for something, she comes to find that all text messages and e-mails from him are gone from all of her devices as well. It’s as if Matt never existed and has completely gone, well, without a trace (pun intended).
So what the heck happened to Matt!? Torjussen takes the reader on a psychological, suspenseful journey that I got sucked into right away. Hannah becomes very obsessive with her journey to find Matt, so much so to the point where it affects all aspects of her life. It was definitely a page-turner for me, and I was stunned at the ending! It was one I did not see coming.
Overall, I highly recommend Mary Torjussen’s Gone Without A Trace, especially if you’re a fan of reading suspenseful books! Pick up a copy of it here.
Happy Reading!
