Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed

I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I opened this book. I had read Wild by Cheryl Strayed before and enjoyed it, so I thought I would pick up this one as well. If you need something to remind you that life isn’t so bad and everything happens for a reason, I would pick up this book asap.
For a couple of years the author Cheryl Strayed worked under the alias Sugar writing an advice column. Tiny Beautiful Things is a compilation of letters written to Sugar and her eloquent responses back. Her talent to share advice while building a personal connection and sharing her own stories is extremely rare and quite beautiful to read.
Throughout the book I couldn’t help but read the letters and reflect on my own life and the “issues” I’ve had. Some of the stories were absolutely heartbreaking, but Sugar’s ability to give quick and thoughtful advice was extremely eye opening and touching.
I don’t know how else to explain this book other than you should pick up a copy or check it out from the library yourself! There’s enough variety of stories that I’m sure you’ll find something you connect with.
