Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Recap

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Season 1 | Episode 6

Here we go Sundance! Events for the world famous Film Festival has officially begun, which means the SLC housewives need to get ready, and by get ready I mean get ready to party.

The only one who actually seems to have to work during Sundance is Lisa, who we see juggling several events for her marketing agency.

Whitney’s husband Justin is turning 52 so Whitney wants to throw a party for him – Jen is freaking out per usual and doesn’t want Mary there.

Mary does in fact attend Justin’s party though, despite Jen’s wishes. The party starts with twerking and lap dances on a party bus and ends up at Whitney’s friend Kathryn’s (really large) home in Deer Valley.

Mary and Jen try to hash things out but it doesn’t work out well when Jen straight up lies to Mary about the comments she made about her marriage. At this point I think they should just cut their losses; there’s no way these two are ever going to be legit friends again.

Per usual, Meredeth’s son Brooks is stealing the show once again – I love this kid. Brooks has his own clothing line and is debuting his collection at the first ever Park City fashion week!

Heather and Whitney’s heart to heart in the next week really makes me sad for Heather. Her telling Whitney that she feels she will never be enough for a man because she’s been divorced and has kids 1. is totally not true and 2. makes me want to shake her and say you don’t need a man to define you!!!! Ok, my women empowerment rant is over.

Back to the Sundance festivities. Now we’re at Jen’s cousin’s party, who is produced a film that’s being aired at the festival. At this party there are lots of eligible men (who didn’t grow up in Utah), which has Heather salivating at the mouth – homegirl is on the PROWL and it is so entertaining.

Bravo worlds then collide when Lala and Katie Maloney from Vanderpump Rules show up at the the party – I guess Whitney and Lala are friends? The Bravo world really is small, man.

Heather ends up leaving the party with a man named Curtis, and I will say, I applaud her confidence and realness about just wanting to get some.

After some plumbing trouble in Meredith’s household, her and Brooks finally make it to Brooks’ fashion show! He’s bummed his dad isn’t there and it looks like we’re going to get more on that front next week.

See ya back at Sundance next week!
